BIOSKIN TriLok Ankle Brace for Women & Men - Ankle Brace for Sprained Ankle, Plantar Fasciitis Relief, Foot Arch Support, Peroneal Tendonitis Relief, & PTTD Support

Key features
- •FOOT and ANKLE SUPPORT: Plantar Fasciitis, PTTD, Peroneal Tendonitis, ankle sprains and rolled ankles are caused by weakened or torn tendons. The Trilok is made from three main components that mimic your body's natural tendons to secure your ankle and allow a safe range of motion. These straps encourage healthy arch posture, and prevent inversion and eversion.
- •CALCULATED COMPRESSION: The micro-fleece lined compression sleeve is a comfortable way to reduce swelling in the foot and ankle after an injury. Compression also improves recovery time, increasing blood flow to bring nutrients to the site of the injury.
- •PREMIUM COMFORT: The Trilok is made from soft Hypo-Allergenic materials that are breathable and low profile, rather than bulky, suffocating canvas braces. The Trilok allows for active mobility but restricts harmful movements making it perfect for sports and regaining mobility.
- •FIT and SIZING: Measure around your arch at the thickest point and compare this measurement to the size chart shown in the second image. Then measure the circumference of your leg right above your ankle and make sure this measurement is below the maximum ankle circumference.

I'm amazed. I read the (largely positive) reviews but remained somewhat sceptical. I've been working a physical job since last fall which entails me walking between 8-10.5 miles per day outdoors on uneven, slippery surfaces. Unfortunately one of my ankles became stricken with what I assume is PTTD, based on the pain source. It was excruciatingly painful to walk on and I relied heavily on pain relievers. Obviously not a safe or long term solution. I found this brace recommended specifically for the PTTD condition and decided to take the plunge despite the cost. I'd already bought a couple other braces from drugstores which had done little to alleviate the issue. Within the first day of wearing the TriLok brace I felt instant relief. The throbbing pain which consumed my inner ankle bone and tendon area - GONE. My shin was a little sore but I could WALK normally, no limp or compensating. I've been wearing the brace every day since (about 4 or 5 days) and I'm cautiously optimistic. The pain is all but alleviated when walking. There's a little soreness but mostly in the shin area, or overnight when I'm not wearing the TriLok. It's incredible. I will update this after a few more weeks or months and I've put the brace through more use. I'm going to order another in the meantime as a backup though- that's how impressed I am with this device.
Expensive, but awesome

I have PTTD and was told to start in a boot, and then I transitioned into this brace. There is a lot involved into putting this brace on every time. Also, the first time I put it on, it was extremely tight around my arch to the point it almost felt like it was cutting circulation. My arch area measured 10.25, which fit within the measurements for a large, and it was so uncomfortable after the first time that I almost gave up on it. To be fair, I wore it for several hours, and I could have overtightened it. The next couple times I wore it a shorter time period, and made sure to keep from overtightening all the other straps. You are after all supporting the ligaments, not compressing the whole ankle. After that, now I think this brace is great. I wouldn't go out and buy it just to use for any ankle brace, but for PTTD this is perfect. I'm able to wear it for hours now and walk around without any pain at all. You get what you pay for, my only complaint is that this does cost quite a bit. All that aside, I would definitely recommend to someone with the same ailment as me.
Customizable fit, a lot of velcro and wrapping, almost what I needed

The Bioskin brace is adaptable since it has 3 separate parts, one of which helps you mimic taping for PTTD. But there are downsides. You need to get the inside compression sleeve to fit well. I opted to wear one of my compression socks/sleeves underneath to get the compression I need, but there was no way around the fact that one of the top seams and the raised edge of the compression sleeve hit right at a bony part on the top of my foot and was really uncomfortable. As much as you can adjust the brace, I found it took way too much fiddling to put all 3 parts on right when I need to get going with my day--it's a lot of wrapping and velcro going on. I use it when my ankle is feeling like it needs some different support. Otherwise, it's not my go to brace.
I have a relatively skinny ankle measuring 7 3/4 in with foot size mens 9.5 and based on reviews I went with a Large in case it was too small or short on length. I think if you're on the skinny side, you can go with the recommended size. I doubt a different size would solve the ridge hitting my bony foot wrong.
Some background, I have posterior tibial tendonitis and broke an accessory navicular bone (blah chronic injuries). I tried this brace in hopes that it could also support my arch right where the posterior tendon attaches into the navicular bone and it does! I wear this with a compression sock/sleeve underneath and then an orange Superfeet insert for when I'm active. Otherwise just compression sock and Bioskin Trilok brace. My doctor was so uninterested in my chronic, open-ended problem so I hope this review can help somebody out there... I'm also trying/using the DonJoy POD ankle brace, Med Spec ASO brace, and several different compression sleeve braces.

I have "PTTD" or Posterior Tibial Tendon Disfunction in my right foot. I've had it for years and it has caused me so much pain. Two Dr's have told me I need surgery to fix it. But I don't have the time or help to do the 3 month recovery (no weight bearing) and then start physical therapy. Neither dr or Phys Ther gave me any recommendations on a brace to help relieve pain. So I did my own research and found this brace. For me it's like a miracle brace! It's comfortable to wear and I have no pain while wearing it. I can walk "normal" (without a limp) while wearing it! I haven't done that in years!
The only thing I don't like about it is the price. I'd like to get a second one to trade off between washing the brace. But I can't afford the $70 again for it. I do highly recommend it though! 😊

I have bad, severe ovwrpronation issues. Hurt myself while jogging 9 months ago. Been through the ringer trying to heal it... Rest, Icing, Compressing, Elevating, Foam Rolling, Pain Pills, Topicals (Voltaren, CBD, Biofreeze, Lidocaine), Supplements, Healthy Eating, Hydration.. Physical Therapy - Stretches, Mobility work, Strengthening, Dry Needling... Massage. Have had a couple steroid shots. Custom orthotics from the Podiatrist. Several different pairs of shoes, with a professional gait analysis done by a PT. Spent time in a walking boot. Wearing compression socks. Epsom salt soaks. TENS Unit stimulation. Spiky massage ball for the foot. Massage Gun on my peroneal trigger points. Trigger Point ball on the brevis and longus muscle. Strassburg Sock. Gel Toe separators. Airex balancing pad. Air Cast walking boot.
I've tried it all folks and was facing surgery. Im not out of the woods yet, but I'm on week 3 of wearing this brace for about 80% of my day and my pain is actually improving, substantially.
Yes its got a learning curve. You need to practice putting it on. And even when you've got it figured out - yes - its not perfect and the velcro has a mind of its own. But I am so thankful to have found something to raise my spirits and maybe avoid surgery. Something about this brace is just working for me.
