very worn soles with good tops. Shoe repair store wouldn't repair that kind ...

Someone suggested to squeeze the goo in a thin layer on the worn sole, and smooth it out with an ice cube! That works so well, I don't use gloves or have any goo on my hands. I'm still working on the shoes so I haven't walked with them yet, but the surface seems very secure. I'm using it on two pairs of black SAS walking shoes, expensive, very worn soles with good tops. Shoe repair store wouldn't repair that kind of sole.

I will tell you this before I even review the product.
I was applying the product to a shoe last night and about halfway thru I was squeezing
the Goo out and the bottom blew open and a large amount went up my arm on my shirt
and on the counter. Yes! The Goo came out the bottom. Watch OUT.
2.5 hours to clean up.

This Stuff Really Works!

Holy cow this stuff is awesome!
I have these really nice sandals which I bought from Target a couple of years ago. I love them, but the manufacturer changed the inside and I don't like the new ones, so I'm trying to keep my old ones going as long as possible. The thing is, I wear them so much that the soles always end up cracking, right across the bottom from left to right. Previously, I've had to throw them away, but then someone recommended Shoe Goo, so I thought I'd give it a try. WOW! This stuff seriously works wonders!! It sealed up a huge crack across the soles of both sandals, and they're now as good as new!
This stuff really does work. I just squeezed a glob along the crack in the sole, pushed it shut and held it for a few minutes, then left the shoes for 24 hours. The Shoe Goo dried but still has pliability so the sole can move and stretch as I walk. Excellent!

As other posters have said, the black goo isn't super aesthetic. The shoes I used them on are already not very aesthetic themselves, so it's not an issue. But the soles have held very firm through several uses. Since applying the goo, another part of the sole has come loose on both shoes. I'm not sure if it was because of the slight difference in the thickness of the front of the sole that worked the rest of the sole loose, or if it was just a poorly made sole to begin with and maybe it would have come loose on its own eventually. In any event, the place where I goo-ed the sole is still holding, so as soon as I goo the other parts, I'm sure the soles will have plenty more life in them.
Miracle substance.

This stuff is a miracle substance in my opinion. I have used it not only to repair some shoe delaminations, but to waterproof headphones, close a snag/cut in a microfiber shirt by putting a thin layer on the back side, secure the ends of some fragile electronics cables that want to come apart at the connector, form feet on the bottom of a slick desk tray. I keep a tube in the car, one in the garage, and one in my office. BTW, I originally bought it to build up the toe on a disc golf shoe because I drag my toe. Now I put a small metal washer on there and use the Goo to glue it in place, which it does until the washer wears all the way down to paper thin, and then I replace it. It works great for the original need, and so many more things. I have learned that to keep from getting it all over your hand, you just apply it to the area from the tube, and then use just a WET finger to smooth it into place.
