Really woke up my BIC America sub
AttillaSeptember 20, 2017
Really woke up my BIC America sub in mt fitness room.
I replaced a "360 Watt"amp with this 250 Watt Dayton Amp in my 15" BIC America sub.
Night and day difference. This amp weighs about 4 times as much as the factory amp.
I did have to cut it in to fit the box, but totally worth it.
Sorry neighbors, I get my bass on when I'm working out....
Great For Home Audio, Novice Friendly!
Kyle McCafferyJune 27, 2016
This amp was the perfect choice for my home built subwoofer. I took a 15" 8 ohm driver I had laying around and built a box for it with this as the power. I didn't drill enough ports! Even on 50% gain it's blowing air through the seams. If you had a 4 ohm driver it would be even better. More than enough power for a medium sized room. Really catches the lows during movies and seems to vibrate the couch! Love it!
Very happy with this purchase so far

Replaced a malfunctioning amp on a 12+ year old HSU VTF-2. It was a simple drop in installation right down to every screw hole matching the housing. Make sure you flip the bass boost to the setting of your preference prior to installation because it is internal facing. Very happy with this purchase so far.
Perfect Fit for Older BIC America D1210R Subwoofer
JoeDecember 3, 2015
This amp fits perfectly/exactly into the cutout of an older BIC America D1210R model subwoofer. Even the mounting screw holes line up perfectly, which is likely more than a coincidence. Much cheaper than purchasing an entire new sub, as the "venturi" cabinet and 12" speaker were still like new. Looks to be of higher quality than the OE BIC America amplifier with a significantly larger heat sink. Not sure if the 250W output is as high as the OE unit, but sounds fine; plugged it in and worked perfectly. Hopefully it lasts much longer than the OE unit. It appears that the OE unit failed due to overheating, as the internal PCB shows what appears to be heat damage.
Great for old DAK 15" non-powered sub-woofer
jimbmwMay 27, 2015
Used on old DAK 15" sub-woofer that was NOT amplified. Made noticeable improvement. No overloading up to 70% volume with 120 watt amp. (Haven't tried higher volume). Was lucky 20 year old speaker was still mechanically solid! Provides deep bass of PIPE ORGAN music etc, enough to dust the end tables! Bass actually strong enough to "energize" a squeaky toy for cat w/o needing to be touched! I put a computer muffin fan over heat sink to preclude overheating. May not need it, but cheaper than fixing/replacing components if overheated.
