Great fence charger, shocks through weeds. Make sure you register it though, this is the second one I've had and I found out on the first one the warranty is only good for a year if you don't register it, three years if it is registered within a month of purchase. First one got hit by lightning within the warranty period and it was fixed free of charge, got hit a second time outside of the warranty period so I used a 12V charger I had laying around but wanted to get a 120V one again so I bought this one. So far so good, there is only so much you can do to protect it from lighting when you have miles of fence wire.
Works fine, but why not make it weatherproof?

The fence charger is great. Went with the large unit because I needed the higher voltage to keep Coyotes and Raccoons from jumping my chain link fence and attacking my dog or eating my Koi fish. The bad news is that Zareba did not weatherproof this unit, and my fence is too far from any building to allow me to install the charger it in a sheltered location. So I used a large plastic storage box, upside down with two small holes in the back to allow me to hang the charger and mount it with bolts on the chainlink fence. That worked great, and I can just reach up and unhook the charger from the bolts in a second, if I need to. But why not just waterproof it in the first place folks? Offer it as a higher-priced option! By the way, as with all fence chargers, please realize you will need to buy 50 feet of 20,000V high voltage cable to hook it up to the fence wire and to connect it to the ground rods. You will need 3 copper ground rods 6 to 8 feet long. And pounding them in the ground is NOT fun. But in the end, all works great, and tests out at 9000 volts.
