I was concerned because similar products in stores had cautionary statements, using a special spray, etc. This product's stickiness was very forgiving. It's labeled removable and it does exactly that! In fact, in my haste with my first window pane, I peeled off the whole sheet to slap it on, and it stuck to itself (of course!). Angry at myself, I willed myself to be more patient and found that I could UN-stick it (carefully) and re-use that same piece on the original pane.
Some tips:
I found that starting to press it in the MIDDLE and then working my way OUTWARDS with my splayed hand and fingers got rid of air bumps more easily...
Plus I could lift the edge up as needed to release the trapped air bubbles...
Cut pieces so they slightly overlap and then, after smoothing, use a sharp razor blade 2-3 times on each section then peel away excess.
Super-duper clean your windows beforehand. I did but afterwards I noticed the grimy edges (we have a 20 year lld house) from years of windblown dirt and thought I should have taken a blade to it before sticking this thing on. I'm concerned the dirt under the edges will hasten it peeling.
The 6ft roll is enough for two bathroom windows. I am thinking of a different design for my huge master bedroom window.

Good for the price

It's good enough for now, and the price is certainly right, but I found this wasn't absolutely perfect. I ordered it to cover the lower half of the window in my shower. When I moved it recently, it was covered with blinds, but it seems to me that's going to be a mildew trap. My window is pretty standard size, and this film was not big enough to cover the entire window. So I had to add a second strip, and if you look closely, it's very, very obvious where the two pieces meet. I don't think guests are going to be looking particularly closely at the window, but I know it's there.
I installed it myself in just a few minutes, but it was a little frustrating. The grid that is supposed to help you cut straight pieces is covered so significantly by the instructions that it's almost useless. I also found that as long as the film was attached to the paper backing, it was really difficult to work with because it kept rolling back together. I just ripped the film off and kept attaching and reattaching. Once I figured that out, the film was very forgiving of being peeled off and reapplied, and since it's a pearl pattern, air bubbles are not that obvious. I used a credit card to remove bubbles and a kitchen knife to cut the film - both worked fine.
The privacy film is definitely an improvement, but I will keep an eye out for film big enough to cover an entire window.

Great for renters!

I am a renting an apartment so it was important for me that the film not leave behind residue and that it could be easily removed. I was really happy with this product on both accounts. I didn't apply it straight the first time and it was easy to remove it and reposition. If you have a funky shaped window, it can be tricky to make sure you cut the right size so try tracing the window shape with pencil & paper and then make a stencil to cut the film. In terms of visibility, you can't see anything through the window. You can see light so you'll be able to tell if it's daytime or nighttime, but other than that, no dice. I attached a picture of my window after putting the film on one pane.
Looks great in the bathroom

Looks great in the bathroom. Still get light but have privacy. Super easy to cut and install. I just used a credit card as I applied it. Perfect answer to a privacy issue.
Perfect for what I needed it for

I wanted to hide all the ugly game systems and cords in our tv unit. This did just the trick, and does not interfere with the remotes signal.
