I love it, only one teenyissue

I love this little rocket stove. Is not to big, easy to clean and very easy to start and use. I actually use it a lot and a handful for little dry branches makes my meal, it's fantastic. Cleaning it out is a breeze with the handle. I actually have one beef with it. The feeding shoot should be longer to prevent stuff from falling out. I am going to a shop and have them weld on a little U shaped extension. I experimented with a cutting up a #10 can, and that actually works well. Then I saw a tall bean can and cut both ends off and pounded it to shape, that worked great. Have fun, I love mine!

Built like a rock! Got a good fire going on the first try, but I had to figure out where the strange plate with 4 cigar-sized holes was supposed to fit and what it was supposed to do because the one-page directions made no mention of it. Obviously it fit straight down inside the stove, and when I inserted 4 sticks the same size as the holes, it became obvious that this insert was to keep the firewood vertical to keep the fire burning. I believe the aluminum plate reduces the amount of heat onto the bottom of your pan, but also prevents carbon build-up. Next time, I'm going to use a casket-iron skillet sitting directly on the 4 clips and I think it will work even better.

excellent item for emergency cooking if your home is out of gas or electricity still can cook meal with very little energy used love it. only problem a little heavy not suited for hiking or back packing. but great for a emergency bug out or hunker down alternative cooking device
