Not worth the money. Dog took it down easily.

Don't waste your money if your dog has separation anxiety and wants to open the door you install this on.
I purchased the Clawguard to prevent my 1-year-old poodle mix from scratching the paint off my bathroom door. He has separation anxiety and tends to bark, whine, and scratch the door (on and off) for 20-30 minutes max before giving up and falling asleep.
I installed the product on the inside of my bathroom door and secured it with the tiny velcro adhesive (provided) as instructed. I left my dog in the bathroom for about 2 hours. When I came back, the Clawguard was on the floor with bite marks on one side, and the velcro adhesive that was stuck to the door was no longer there. The product does not hold well on the door as my dog obviously just bit the side and pulled it down. If anything, I think the flimsiness of the plastic exacerbated his anxiety and caused him to fight more to get the product off the door handle. The "noise control" option does not control noise at all. It just means that you can install it with the smooth side of the plastic facing outside so your dog's nails don't scratch against a rough surface. There will still be a gap between the door and the plastic, so if you or your dog push against the guard, it'll move back and forth and make a sound if it hits the door itself (imagine the sound of plastic hitting a hard surface over and over again). A small piece of velcro isn't going to keep the guard in place.
The concept was good (simple installation, no hardware for anchoring, etc.), but the design definitely needs work. As it is today, the product is definitely not worth the $25.

I have two, and like them

You have to cut them to your needs, but once done, these work great. I have two in different configurations. I used a Command strip to attach door to screen which worked great and you can't see it. Works better than what they provide. May not stop your dog from scratching, but definitively saves your door, even if the dog tries. I love this thing,

I recently purchased this, however, i have not had the opportunity to use it as yet. I have a dog, who completely destroyed a door and the indoor/outdoor carpet (at the door) from him anxiety. I am anxious to use this, it appears to be heavy duty and fit my door perfectly. I would like to write another review after I have had a chance to try it out, say in a few weeks.
Works great....but....

This has worked great for the last 2 months! The door frame has remained intact and not chewed! Until today. One of my two bullies pulled at it hard enough for it to rip apart where the door handle hole is. They then proceeded to use it as a chew toy all day (they have many in there already to keep them busy). I couldn't remember how much I paid, at this point not sure if it's worth replacing. One of them had already chewed the other side of the door frame prior to me purchasing this.

Perfect solution to protect our wooden door and frame from further scratches from our pup. He tends to claw a bit when left alone, and the damage to the door (and his paws) was getting worrying. The Clawguard takes care of the issue, and is so easy to put in place. I cut the bottom 2 or 3 inches off with kitchen scissors because our doorknob is lower than standard. The velcro piece at the bottom keeps it in place, but also allows us to move the clawguard to another door if we leave the dog in a different room or area of the house.
Highly recommend this as a solution to protect doors, doorframes, and dogs from scratchIng!!
