So I like the enclosure
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 2, 2023
This huge enclosure is working well to keep my fruit from being devoured. Putting it up, the structure, goes well. Tossing on the mesh, well, for one person, it takes some time. One complaint is the many, tiny ties are prone to disintegration in the sun. So, you need to buy some functional, large ties to hold the mesh in place. The mesh given is a generous amount, so it all works out in the end, just takes a while to assemble the complete unit. Expect a couple of hours, at least, if assembling alone. The mesh is very strong, a king snake got tangled in the mesh, but the mesh held firm. It did not break or stretch. So I like the enclosure, but it takes AWHILE to assemble this huge thing. Placing the mesh over the top is frustrating - the mesh keeps sliding back off. Eventually, though, you do succeed. Just hang in there, be tenacious, devote some hours to it.
So much better than the competition

I bought one of these to cover my blueberry plants, basically trying out the idea with the smallest version. I have a birdfeeder nearby, so, lots of birds and squirrels right there and of course I did not get blueberries last year while the plants were uncovered.

So I set this up and have had zero problems with critters getting in or through there. Blueberries never tasted so sweet. One cane did poke through the netting and was stripped overnight of its blueberries and leaves by a (raccoon, possum, skunk, take your pick) and I pushed it back inside, where it happily re-leafed.

I later bought a 52" NuVue pop up tent for my tomatoes and not only did the larger critters easily lift up the edges and steal my first one last night, but twice I've had to rescue finches that got in there (not supposed to happen!) Its bottom edges simply don't work.

The Gardman's does and I'm going to replace the useless NuVue with another and bigger Gardman.
Good, versatile protection

Unfortunately I put it together on my porch, then attempted to move it into place. It was obvious that I hadn't put it together tightly enough as it fell apart. I reassembled it (tightly this time) exactly where it needed to
be and it remained standing without difficulty for as long as I needed it. I'm now getting ready to use it again for other plants. It has protected against deer, groundhogs, opossums.
However Amazon gave me perfect recourse. The second one was great

**Update:** 2 years later this product is still holding up perfectly. A lot people here complaining about squirrels. Well, I think it's safe to say that squirrels are going to get to pretty much anything they want, this thing is not metal chicken wire, it's for birds only. I only grow blue berries, so birds are my concern and it has been perfect.

Unfortunately I too first received one with a missing part. Unfortunately the company doesn't have parts to sell. However Amazon gave me perfect recourse. The second one was great. It has a lot of 'play' in the frame but this isn't a bad thing, it may seem wobbly but really it keeps itself from being stressed easily.. you can even move the whole thing around with two people and due to the play at every joint it won't bend or stress the poles. It is every bit as sturdy as a gardening cage needs to be though. The netting is just fine, it may not fit like a glove but it is larger, not smaller than the frame, and it was no trouble at all for me. Not sure why people complain about the instructions, they are not a joke, a person who needs better instructions for this thing is though. ;) Seriously, a simple picture showing you how the parts go is -all- you need, this thing is trivial to set up. Overall you can't beat it for the price, good luck making one yourself for much less and good luck getting it all done in 20min. Good product.

*Update: After 1 year it is still perfect. I think at this cost it's a great product and I'm tempted to get another since they are out of business and inventory is limited.
So far so good

Ok, so I don't generally leave comments but I felt this one had so many negative reviews I wanted to pass along my experience. I was certainly concerned about buying it but it was the only one I found big enough so I decided to go for it.

First, the package was in good shape and it did not appear to be a returned item just reshipped. The posts had bubble wrap around every edge, the netting was rolled up neatly and all parts were present. So while some may have had a bad experience, mine looked new.

Second, it's a bit early to put it outside here in the north east but I did want to see how it went together so I decided to put the frame together down my cellar. I also figured I could then bring sections up when I am ready. The instructions are a bit cryptic but that is not uncommon anymore. It took me about 45 minutes to put it together alone. There were a couple points where I thought I was missing something but the realized where I went wrong and it was very easy to correct. Essentially the 2 end sections are different since one is the doorway. So just keep that in mind and it should go ok.

So that is as far as I have gotten so far. It is a pretty big structure so I can imagine the netting will be a bit of work alone. I'll have to update this once I get it outside and see how it works but so far I am optimistic.
