When my - what - 40 year old plate warmer gave up the ghost, my hunt for a replacement ended up with Waterbridge. This item is most satisfactory--nothing like a warm plate to keep food hot!

These work well; however we learned the hard way not to plug it in next to a cold window. :)
Works. Frees-up oven or cooktop space you might have used for plate heating.

It works, a bit slowly, but maybe that's better than getting too hot. It tends to pick up static-sensitive things like dog hairs and lint, so keep some masking tape handy to clean it now & then.

throw the plates in as i start dinner and they are plenty warm by the time dinner is served. warm plates help keep the food warm. i love it.
