I own a small contracting business and needed something small, lightweight and most of all, something I didn't have to carrying a gas can around for and worrying about today's fuel rotting carb and fuel parts on.. This thing worked great on a recent deck I built for a customer. Has enough power to dig, but not enough power to be jerked out of your hands if it catches a tree root or a rock underground. I also bought the 6" auger to go with it cause I was setting 4x4" posts that needed to be concreted in. I'm satisfied with both of them. Digs down to around 26".

I just dug a 30" hole with a 12" bit.. it stalled many times but It works. Can't expect too much from a toy.
