Disappointing!!!!!

I bought the Dragonpad to use as my fpv screen. I turned it on and nothing happened? I know I shouldn't done this but, I open it up and found the ribbon wire coming from the TFT panel to the electronics board cut into? It didn't look like it had broken during shipment, because I flexed the ribbon wire to see if it was brittle and it flexed just fine. It just looks like some purposely cut it! And I didn't cut or break it when I opened the cover. The electronic board is held in place with double sided sticky tape and it was still in place.
I noticed this same display is sold by others for double the price. I guess the rejects from the other manufactures are give to this seller or they get them from the trash and sold them to us! For the price point, you can't really go wrong.
I bought this as an FPV ground station / ride along monitor. I did some testing of this monitor using 3S lipo batteries to power it. The spec says 12 to 24 volts but it works just fine down to 11.0v or so as the battery discharges. I can power this screen for roughly 1.5 hours with a 500 mah 3S battery. I originally tried a 2200 mah 3S battery and after 3 hours it was still going strong. I expect it will run 6+ hours on a 2200 pack.
I don't plan to actually fly via this monitor but I suppose you could. The off-angle viewing isn't great, but what do you expect at this price point.
I didn't use the blue wire as this seems to be a trigger to switch to switch inputs to the backup camera. I did confirm that I can switch inputs and upon power cycling it remains on whichever input I selected.

It's not that often that you get more than you paid for. My expectations when I ordered this modestly priced monitor were pretty low so I was extremely pleased to find that other than the documentation, this is actually a very high quality product. I installed a rear view camera in my class C motorhome and mounted this monitor on the engine pedestal. The quality of construction and the picture are both excellent and it worked perfectly the first time I hooked it up. I highly recommend this monitor!. The instructions are weak but it's very easy to figure out how to hook everything up. You actually have two different mounting options - it has a mounting case to install in a headrest, and a mounting pedestal to use as a stand-alone unit. It also has the ability to hook up two separate cameras so I might add a side-mount camera in the future. I don't have a need for the little remote when I'm just using this for a backup camera, but the remote could be a nice little "plus" if you were using this monitor for other purposes. Let me say it again, this is one of those cases where you definitely get more than you paid for.

Simply put, used this for a back up camera and got some stuff from home depot to make it work. The quality is okay but obviously for $30 not high enough for dvds or anything I think. Also never included the remote but since I'm using it for the back up camera I don't need it.

When backing up one day I looked at the camera but it didn't show. When i took off the electrical tape over the connection it was fine and when I checked the back up camera it was fine. Took the electrical tape off the 6 pin connector (the end piece for the input wire into the tv) and the tiny pins fell out. No idea how this happened but it means I'll have to either find a new end and solder or I'll have to buy a new Monitor. Other then that, it's pretty big to fit in a car. I mounted mine above my visor and the visor wouldn't shut. Not a problem for me but it means that you want to do the same, beware your visor won't close all the way. Other then that got good use out of it.
