Worst instructions ever! Fortunately the Internet works.

I bought this for a like-for-like replacement of a nearly 20 year old unit. I was able to get the thing mounted easily but the instructions were very focused on getting the App and Wifi working. No instructions on how to get the thing wired with plugs. yeah it is straightforward once you see an internet video, but you take 3 pages to show how to get the app and wifi working and a quarter page for hardwiring? What if I didn't have internet? I would be sitting at home with three pages on how to connect to something I don't have and a $180 device with no power without guessing right.
works

Great

Fit perfectly. The automatic setup for travel and torque was outstanding. The myQ app was easy and worked perfectly. I sent an invite to my wife and it installed just as easily. I replaced both of our 12 year old openers so these comments apply to both. No difference . Very pleased.
replacement for older, broken unit

Took awhile but got our old (2000) unit replaced and it's all running smoothly. Am fairly handy but took me 4 hrs so don't think it's a quicky job. (Maybe I'm just slow.) As others have said, need to replace wall unit and electric eyes (included, as is one remote). Our old amber eye had wiring fault so had to run complete new line. Green was OK so I just spliced into the old one. Loosened chain and used screwdriver to lever off gear. Wired rail up to ceiling mount to keep it from falling. All bolt holes same as old unit. Dropped old motor. Reattached wires (using internet instructions as none came in box!). Downloaded app and now can use smartphones to open and close remotely, which replaces exterior 4-digit remote which no longer works. Now if I'm in New York I can raise and lower my door in California. Whoo boy! Used supplied grease to regrease the rail. Oiled all the roller bearings in door. Made the open/close adjustments (fyi you can use the up and down arrow buttons to fine-tune before pushing rectangular center memory button). Now it all works like a charm! FedEx delivery, came within a week. Reasonable DIY job. :-)
Remote issues

The unit works fine but having a three car garage, I had to buy new remotes as the new unit remote did not work with the older units and vice versa.
I also needed to replace the manual opener as the old opener was not compatible with the new unit.
This came with the purchase and was easy to replace.
The close door sensors were compatible.
