I bought this to replace an old start capacitor on a motor I'm rebuilding. I had to guess at the correct value since the old one was worn and there was no visible markings on it. There is a wide range of allowable values with something like this and it seems like I guessed right. It fit perfectly, looks to be high quality outside (no method to check the internal construction), the capacitance value measures about right with a digital meter and best of all - the motor starts right up! What not to like?

I have an old GE motor that's 1 1/2 horsepower that won't start up unless I have the pulley a little help. The label was mostly worn away so I couldn't even get the full part number. I guesstimated the needed start capacitor based on other motors for sale and found this one. It fit perfectly and the compressor started right up.
