Different diaper pails have different features, and different people have different needs. This fit my needs exactly, but let's go over the basic points.
Hands free- no.
Size- satisfactory, we're still in new born size diapers, but the pail usually lasts us 2-3 days before the bag needs emptied (its important to note that my husband doesn't always wrap up the diaper before he throws it out so that takes up extra space as well)
Design- sleek, modern, definitely not an eyesore
Bags- they do have bags you can buy to go with it, which we use and like, but you can use regular trash bags as well which is a plus.
And, most importantly, the reason this gets five stars, SMELL!! Right now for convince sake we have our newborn sleeping in our room and we have his changing table in here as well. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want my bedroom smelling like baby poops. This pail does an AMAZING job with smells. My husband has a fairly sensitive sense of smell as well so this was important for him. This pail is perfect and for that reason alone I'd recommend it.
TL;DR- no poopie smells can escape this can!!!

We've had this item for about 13 months now, and let me tell you, it smells terrible. The smell completely stays in the item as well and never comes out, even when you wash it in the bath tub with hot soapy water and leave it open for a day to dry under a fan. The smell is completely embedded into the can itself and I don't think it will ever come out, and it is an extremely sour, nasty smell. We changed our bags about once a week, which maybe isn't often enough, but it seemed wasteful to change bags every day or even every other day when our baby didn't have enough diapers to fill the bag.
Don't believe the hype. This thing stinks. I'm giving it 2 stars because the smell is kept out of the room when it's closed, but when you open it up, it's a terrible odor that permeates the entire room.

We have been using our Ubbi for 2 years now, and overall have been very pleased. It contains smells extremely well (except when the door is open, which is to be expected), even with a few days worth of diapers in there. I notice that there is often condensation inside the lid when I change the bag, which I guess is a good sign of a really tight seal. When I change the bag and the pail is empty, I let it air out as long as I can (until I have a new diaper to put in there).
The only complaint that I have is that, after 2 years, the edge of the sliding door is starting to rust. I saw this is a problem for cloth diaper users, but we have only ever used disposables, so I guess it can be a problem there too. The rust is just ugly for now, not a problem yet, but if it continues, it will become a problem soon. On the one hand, we have gotten a good 2 years out of it before it started rusting, but on the other, it's an expensive pail, and we were hoping to use it for our second baby, so that's disappointing.

I am pretty happy with this diaper pail. It's an attractive, well designed object, it contains the smell of the diapers excellently, and thus far, my 18 month old hasn't figured out how to undo the lock.
My complaint is that our pail has begun to rust on the inside. We use Grovia cloth diapers, and the Kanga Care washable diaper bags, and do a load of wash every three days. When I open the pail to do a load of wash, there is condensation all along the sides and bottom of the pail, which over the course of a year has caused the pail to rust along the seams. It's not a huge deal, but it does seem like the powder coating is not adequate on the seams. And since all washable diaper bags "breathe", I don't see any way to avoid this internal condensation issue if you use cloth diapers.
So, overall, I do recommend this diaper pail, but I'm a little disappointed with the rusting issue.

I've been using this diaper pail for 9 months and generally like it. It does however have a few function issues that should be revised! For starters, when you're trying to pull out the full bag of dirty diapers inside the pail, when lifting up the bag the whole pail comes with it. It needs a piece that sticks out from the bottom, like a trash can you can open by stepping on the little pedal/lever thing. That would hold the pail in place while lifting out diapers. Also, as the size of the diapers increase with your growing baby, it's sometimes hard to fit them through the small trash hole. Most recently the lid came unhitched / broke apart from the pail. So now my lid doesn't stay on my diaper pail, completely defeating the purpose of locking in the smell. On the plus side, it looks nice and has nice color options. But...not the best design.
