This is a great bell. It is solidly made and has a great sound. I bought this for a friend's birthday. He has a large sailboat and he was delighted. I will be purchasing one for myself. I've always believed that the best gifts are those that one would keep for oneself. I will be getting one also for my sailboat.

Looking for a brass bell to replace an old, ugly bell that came with our vacation home on Cape Cod. After almost buying a less expensive bell saw this one. So glad I saw this one! For a little more $'s got a high quality, beautiful bell that sound great. It has a heavy feel and other details that spell QUALITY. Highly recommended!

Any area that is not easily visible is not polished at all. I expected a better quality for the price. The only reason I didn't return it is because I need it now.
