GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE !!
Jane•October 30, 2017
The Ewbank HSVC3 Chilli Combi-Stick/Handheld Vaccuum is light, easy to use, and has good suction. It comes with attachments for specific tasks. The motor is loud and it tends to run hot, but that is the trade-off for the the great job it does. We have a black cat and a white couch and the vaccuum takes care of the cat's hair.. Great value for the price.
Delicate Vacuum Canister
Kelvin Patrick•December 23, 2016
I've had two problems with this vacuum cleaner. Problem # 1: Stopping everyone else in my family from using this vacuum, and use the other household vacuums. I bought this vacuum to keep my computer keyboards and basement man cave clean. Every time I turn around someone has gone into my man cave and took this vacuum instead of using the other household vacuums. I don't get it !!! It's like "It belongs to daddy, lets use this one. Problem #2: the canister that hold the attachments and dirt is very fragile. My wife again using this vacuum (because it for my personnel usage) dropped the vac and broke the canister making it unusable for for the other attachments. I wound up jury rigging the canister drilling two screws into the canister making it into a permanent floor vacuum.I bought another vac only to discover "NOT ME" or "I DON'T KNOW" cracked the container from rough usage. Is there someway of buying a replacement canister. If so PLEASE let me know.
Suction, Suction, Suction!

I ordered this vacuum to replace the stick vacuum I had in our trailer. I felt that given our space issues in the trailer I was limited on selection. I ordered this one hopeing there would be enough power to stuck up sand, fine dirt and small rocks (we camp at the beach alot). While selecting this vacuum it seemed to meet my requests. First of all, for all the right things: its light weight, has a retracting handle (this is wonderful), is compact, comes with a hose, cervice tool and brush along with a rotating carpet brush. Its motor is unbelievable in suction and herein lies the problem; the motor is so strong that collected debris ends up clogging the screen holes that lead to the filter rather than sitting in the base of the collection cup. The problem is easily solved by frequent emptying of the cup and knocking the debris off the filter screen, however, you have to do this every few minutes or the suction is compromised and the unit begins to over heat. If Ewbanks would redesign this issue I would have given this product 5 stars as it is a great little vacuum and I will still use it in our 22' trailer.
Handy, lightweight similar to electric carpet sweeper. For deep cleaning, stick to the big vacuums.

So far, it's okay. Super noisy high shrill sound, I'm considering ear plugs, seriously. The concept is great - think Dustbuster on a stick with a mouth attachment for "rolling" across carpet. The attached roller/mouthpiece gives the impression that the suction part is wide, but it's still the same little 3" or so opening. The suction is okay, but it's basically a $50 dealy. I have to clear the filter every few minutes. It's a bagless, and the filter has a velcroed wraparound paper filter surrounding it. That gets blocked pretty quickly.
It's extremely lightweight, I laughed the first time I picked it up. The on/off switch is on the vacuum part itself, none on the stick, but no problem. It comes with a couple of attachments and an extra filter!
Very handy for a quick grab, but for *real* vacuuming, I'll continue to use my fabulous monster vacuum.

The suction power is good, there is no denying that

The suction power is good, there is no denying that. However, the main attachment that turns this unit into a floor 'vacuum' has stopped working. I've taken the thing apart 3x now, and I'm unable to fix it permanently. I can get it to work decent for about 5 minutes and then it stops again. The suction of the vacuum spins a turbine which causes a belt to spin that is attached to the brush. Something happens in the inner workings that generates too much friction for the brush to spin, every time I realign it, it stops working shortly after. Unfortunately I'm looking elsewhere for a better product. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for anything more than a dust buster.
