RAVES for their customer service! Practically before I got it they emailed me to see if I had any questions and what I thought. Wow! I have now given it a workout in the car on an eight-hour drive from Minnesota to Chicago (and back). I had planned to bring my regular pillow, just in case, but I forgot it. After kicking myself, I got out the Travelrest, hoping it would work. Well, much to my surprise, after minor fiddling with the strap, it was so comfortable that I did not even need the window to lean against. It held my head perfectly comfortably and let me sleep easily. Also important, and sometimes ignored, the way you put your hands in the bottom of the strap to apply a little ballast to the strap is a very comfortable way for your hands to rest and not flop around.
This product was well-thought-out and made. I also confess to ordering the extra cover, which has a bit more padding, and is so soft and cushy that you want to snuggle up to it. I've shown it to my traveling family and friends and everyone has been really happy to see it and know what they would be getting. One friend thought it would make his leather recliner more comfortable, too.

These travel pillows have come a long way since I bought my first one about eight years ago. It only lasted a few trips before it quit holding air.

I took a chance and bought this pillow because the reviews were pretty good and I really do like the style much better than the "around the neck" pillows. It is so much better than the one I used all those years ago. That first one had what I call a bicycle air tube you would blow in and you had to squeeze it hard to get the air out. You had to push the little air tube down in the pillow or it would painfully rub against you. Then you had to put effort into getting the little tube back out so you could release the air.

This pillow is such an improvement. The input area for the air is larger and much easier to use. To discharge air all you have to do is push in the rubber flap. The material is more fabric-like and very comfortable.

The cord on the new pillow has enough subtle improvements on how it holds the pillow to you (or the seat - which was not an option with my first pillow) so you can be quite comfortable.

What I like about this style of pillow is, once you deflate it, you can roll it up and stuff it in a corner of your bag. I got the red color so I could easily see it in my bag with minimal light.

The improvements in this new generation of the pillow are subtle, yet major. The new design does more with the user's comfort than the one I previously owned. It's easier to inflate and deflate. It's very easy to find a comfortable position regardless of the mode of transportation. When I'm not flying I'll probably keep this pillow in the car.

I love this guy and have traveled around the globe with it. In fact, the other day I had to sleep in a car overnight and it let me sleep well (I mean, sleeping in the passenger seat of a car is hardly ever comfy but I was out!)

Just took this on a 14 hour flight to AUS, as someone who has great trouble sleeping upright on aircraft, this definitely made the journey much more pleasant. I also used it on a bunch of short 3-4 hr flights, and it works just as well as my around the neck pillow as a chin rest or side pillow while watching/reading media on the plane. Rolls up in the exact same space as an inflatable around the neck pillow to boot. Inflates & deflates MUCH quicker than the other travel pillows I have. I also did not have the problem I have with neck pillows where I fall forward when dozing off.

I tried both chair mount and sling mount with the string on the flight, I found that both worked well. Using the string on the chair makes it easy to keep it in place and out of the way when eating. Using it as a sling makes it easy to get up and back in, as well as re-position if you like to swap sides (like I tend to).

I am embarrassed that it has taken me two years to write this review but at least I'm finally doing it. This pillow is a great item and the company really stands behind it. I recommend the pillow and the company highly.

I used the pillow and cover on a trip from California to Europe a couple years ago. It truly helped me sleep on the plane, which I'd never been able to do before. It took me a little time to figure out the best way to place the pillow on my body but once I did, it was a delight to use. Ever since, I have not traveled a distance by plane without the pillow.

Sometime after I returned from Europe, I broke the stopper that holds the air in. I contacted the company to see if there was a replacement option and the company sent me a brand new pillow (which had an improved stopper). The company had no obligation to replace the pillow. It made a business decision to have good customer service, which is an indication of a quality company.
