I use a thermostat on the gas fireplace in our bonus room, which was dipping into the 50° range during the winter before we had the fireplace installed. The existing thermostat, an older Braeburn, was working erratically, so we needed a replacement. I decided to stick with Braeburn, thinking it would simplify the installation. But before I bought it I checked the installation directions on-line, and wasn't sure how I would wire it. I sent an e-mail to their customer service, explained the situation, and asked for advice. Shortly after, I got a reply telling me exactly how to wire it. I ordered the unit, got it installed in a matter of minutes, and it worked correctly. We don't need the lock-out function, but do use the programmable feature, which is very easy to set up.
Overall, my first thermostat installation was quick and painless, and I'm very happy with this unit. Recommended.
