I bought this Smart hub and thermostat combo off of Amazon through EchoStar Energy for $800 and paid $125 for a local independent HVAC guy to install. I had special needs that I didn't realize until after I had it installed and contacted EchoStar Energy and they worked with me until I got it right. Jerrold

My previous Lennox thermostat was broken after 10 years and is no longer available from Lennox so that I had to choose this model. Now I am happy to use it, although it is much pricey in comparison with other brand models. The installation was pretty simple and easy. But by unknown reason, I cannot use the app with new thermostat. The old one was good to use the app, but not with this one. Besides this issue, I am very okay with this thermostat.
Need to hire an HVAC to install.

I got this thermostat as a warrantee replacement for my old Lenox WiFi thermostat that failed after 2.5 years and is no longer being made.
The S30 has a lot of nice features but it is convoluted and super expensive. If I had an option I would rather have an Ecobee.
The S30 has a pretty screen. I like the "feels like" option. It has ability to finely control blower speed.
I wish there were real-time usage reports. I don't like the hub. It seems like one more complicated thing to go bad. It attaches to the wall via a magnet. Why? You have to be within two feet to get the proximity sensor to wake up the thermostat screen. ie not sensitive enough. To set the time zone you have to disconnect the thermostat from the Wi-Fi then change the zone in the setting then reconnect the S30 to the Wi-Fi. Duh? Why?
