Exactly what I was looking for. This is a closed cell foam pad, waterproof, and big enough to accommodate my 6'5" size. It is durable enough for a few uses if you aren't too rugged with it. For an emergency blanket that will shield from wet and wind, it will get the job done. It weighs nothing in my pack. It is a bit bulky, but not any moreso than a wool blanket of same dimension. If you need something that will insulate well and protect from the elements, this will work. It is not a tarp, and won't bear much load or stress without ripping. It is a blanket.
