DO NOT BE FOOLED - USELESS PRODUCT

Purchased it and it worked fine for about 2 weeks, then it went full potato! Piece of crap cant even keep the correct time, even with a brand new battery.
Customer support is nonexistent for the problems:
Cannot properly sync with the app
Cannot consistently track / count steps
Will sometimes just "lose" your total steps, IF it was even able to count to begin with
Constantly flashes thru various screens, which does NOTHING more than irritate me - and not when I "bump" it like you are supposed to do to change screens - it just sits and cycles thru screens
I purchased this item to carry in my pocket / wear on my belt as I cannot stand having anything on my wrists or arms (wont ev en wear long sleeves). I am on construction sites constantly so having this in my pocket is the safest place for it. I have checked it before walking to the site from the parking garage and noted the steps, then walked the .75 miles to spite and look again only to see I have taken a grand total of 41 steps?? I replaced the battery, synced with the app, repeated the process and found that I had walked the equivalent of nearly 2 miles! I went to the manufacturer website and found that the very issues I experienced are VERY common, and there has been NO RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
I purchased a second one for my GF so we could sort of challenge each other with step counts, but it is literally still in the closet wrapped up as I didn't want to give her a piece of useless crap!!

When i ordered this product the estimated arrival was May 18-June 9. It arrived May 6th! That was a very pleasant surprise. The first Fitbit product i owned was a Fitbit Zip. I bought a watch band that was not very secure and lost it. Decided to invest in an HR to track sleep and heart rate when exercising. I have become a bit obsessed with step tracking and the HR is not very attractive to wear on a night out. I have tried dressing it up with a designed band but it is still bulkly. I decided to get another Zip so i can wear it a little more discretely during day and evenings out. Will use HR to track sleep at night and heart beat when working out. We shall see how this goes!
I am in love with my Fitbit zip

I am in love with my Fitbit zip! I wanted to keep track of my steps and calories, without spending a fortune. I purchased a watch and to go with my zip (I would lose the zip if it was attached to my belt, it seemed like the best option). It is perfect, my zip with the watch band actually has outlasted my husband's much more expensive Fitbit HR (the band has warped and created a weird bubble- which we think was caused by water or sweat). I forget I have my zip on and I've done the dishes without any issue. I would definitely recommend the zip, it does not have as many features as the other models but is great for steps, calories and motivation.

I do love my Fitbit Zip and have been wearing one for 2.5 years, just about every day. It motivates me. I like the Zip because it is small and does what I need it to do without complicated sleep calculations, or the things I do not need. I clip it to my bra and have never lost it. What I don't like about it is I have had three Fitbits. Something goes wrong and they don't calculate or they stop. I have had two replaced gratis by Fitbit, but they would not cover the third one. The other thing that irritates me is I have been tracking battery use and replacement for several months. Batteries (as I use them anyway) have to be replaced every two months. That's way too often!! I believe Fitbit claims every 4 months or longer. It would be good to have a chargeable Fitbit for this reason. I also find that the Fitbit device gives me a different battery reading than the iPhone that it syncs with. Consequently I never know when my battery will go out. All in all I like the Zip but think Fitbit needs to do some troubleshooting.
Love my Zip

Love this little guy. Nice and small. I personally just carry it in my pocket. Seems to be pretty accurate in the amount of steps. Works well with the fit bit app where you can keep track of your steps, distance, food intake, weight and more. Hold competitions with other friends that have a Fitbit as well. Great motivation to get your steps in, Fun little unit and I love the size. It does not do some of the things that the watches or other bigger units do such as stair count, But honestly that's fine with me. Would buy again!
