I guess it is milk
Steve Petrosino•December 13, 2016
I bought this primarily for coffee at work. I looks like there is nothing in the powered milk except milk. This should be the best. It does not quite smell like milk. It does not dissolve in hot coffee completely. It also takes quite an effort to get all of the blobs to dissolve in room temperature water. I am still working out how to reconstitute about one teaspoon. A larger quantity in a shaker bottle with a mix screen may yield good results.
Excellent for Baking Bread

I am using this in my bread making. It is wonderful. Before I found this I was using no fat dry milk in my baking. This really has helped with the texture of the crumb. This is definitely a powder, not granular like many dry milks. For baking I prefer powder, it mixes with the flour much better. The container that it comes in is great. I store it in the freezer right next to the yeast.
Very convenient.

I rarely have milk or cream in the house and I like to bake on a moment's notice. I don't want to worry about whether I have on hand the often-called for ingredient of milk or cream. Odds are, I don't yet I want to cook or bake something which calls for a dairy product. This product is the perfect solution. I can have milk whenever a recipe calls for it. I can't comment as to how close it tastes to fresh milk because I never drink milk. I can say that it is indistinguishable for purposes of cooking and baking. It is a very handy product to have around.
It's okay

I found this product to have a very "cheesy" type smell to it, both in powder form, and reconstituted. It reminds me a lot of some goat milk powder I have. The flavor is noticeable in milk- heavy applications like mac and cheese, or homemade yogurt, but disappears in baked goods.
It doesn't not mix well with water, I found the easiest way was to pulse it in my smoothie blender. I wish it gave directions to reconstitute smaller amounts (I often don't need quarts at a time), but with a little math this isn't a huge deal.
Overall, I probably won't purchase again. I tend to use my box of dry milk (from Fred Meyer) more often.

Tasty milk!

This is a tasty powdered milk. I like to use it in my morning tea and so don't need a lot of milk. I found that I was wasting money buying fresh milk because the milk would spoil before I could finish it all so I started freezing it. That was a bit of a hassle so I decided to try powdered milk. Life is so much easier now! I like the taste of this milk but took off a star because I found that it doesn't dissolve as well as the Peak powdered milk I had been using previously. It is not pleasant to have chunks of milk at the bottom or floating around your tea in the morning. It take a little more effort than in used to to smash all the clumps, but it's not so bad so I'll finish the rest of the container and maybe get used to all the work.
