It capture 1080p + doing FB Live perfectly fine.
Charles Ho•September 20, 2017
Before I bought this, I read a lot mixed review. Some say it work, and some say it no so nice. As for me, it start working right out of the box. No complaint whatsoever.
I even connect this to my camcorder, and FB Live see it as a camera. Then, it continue to work on my Live event for 2 hrs.
I happy I bought this. :-)

Great Compact Device That Really Works
Ben K.•July 13, 2017
The results I have been getting with this are just phenomenal, after going through countless other capture devices that either lag or don't work at all I settled on this one. The key is firewire, high transfer speeds that will give you flawless captures every time.
I found myself not really using this for recording since you will get such large files, I use this for streaming through OBS where I save all my captures online in full resolution.
The build quality is excellent, I have dropped from six feet countless times and not a scratch. Blackmagic knows their products well and have a great support team, I can definitely reccomend this device for Mac OSX users.

Use for Live-Stream with Blackmagic ATEM 4K
Andrew Walker•June 15, 2017
I use this with a Blackmagic ATEM 4K switcher to do a multi-cam live stream, via my macbook pro and wirecast pro (along with the ATEM software). Uses a thunderbolt 2 cable (NOT the new thunderbolt 3 usb-c). Currently using with Lumix GH4s. The signal strength has been solid so far throughout testing, with no dropouts, and acceptable HD quality. Haven't pushed it a ton yet, so will circle back.
Does What It's Supposed To... Barely

This product works as intended. I almost rated it 3 stars, because it doesn't work with the software I truly wanted to use it with. It is completely incompatible with Screenflow 6. However, it works as intended with OBS Studio and Telestream GameShow software.
The box tends to get pretty hot when in use (even when you are not actively capturing content). You can only capture at 1080i 59.94 fps. If you attempt to record at any other settings, you will get a black screen.

Great device. When I first got it
Dannel A.•March 17, 2017
Great device.
When I first got it, I thought it was broken because I couldn't get it to work with my PS4 or TiVo for the life of me... but then I realized it was because they were transmitting HDCP.
For my TiVo, I have no solution, but for the PS4, turning HDCP off made it work instantly. It also works really well with my DSLR camera and allows me to use it as a webcam for Skype with much better quality than my built-in webcam has.
