Just what I wanted. I already use one in my kitchen and it works so well. I walk in to the room at night and it lights up a small lamp. It saves electricity since it is only on when I am in the room and turns itself off just after I exit. I have not been able to find one of these since I bought my current one. So, I am happy to have found one at a good price and since I bought this one used I am very pleased that it is in good working order. I have put it in my bedroom so if I need to get up in the dark it will turn on allowing me to see where I am going. It is restricted in that it is wired but the magic eye cable is long enough to be used in many situations where you need light for a few minutes. I love not needing to turn the light on and off. If I want the motion detector not to work I just face the magic eye to the wall and presto!!

Works as advertised. I got it for my shop lights in my garage. It's positioned right next to my garage door opener and just as I enter the garage my lights come on. I connected 3 shop lights (non-led) without any problems. The ability to set a turn off time is a nice feature as well.

I used this for adding lights to my kitchen pantry. I had a string of LED rope lights from my camper that wasn't being used. I fastened it inside the pantry along the outside of the door trim. It was so long I was able to run it along the top and both sides of the entire door twice. The outlet for my microwave is inside a cabinet and adjacent to the pantry. I drilled an inconspicuous hole through the pantry wall and into the cabinet then ran an extension cord from the pantry to the cabinet outlet. I hooked the extension cord and LED rope lights to the motion sensor and placed the sensor on a pantry shelf. Everything else was already on hand and this was the only item I had to buy. I now have PLENTY of light from the floor to the ceiling.
Good for different applications. Don't expect the best sensor ever, but is consistent, it works, and doesn't require batteries

Love these plug-in outlets. I'm a big fan of motion lighting, and while these are not the best motion sensors ever, they are at a good spot for price and functionality. Looking around, anything else that accomplishes the same goal has a remote sensor with batteries and costs more. So for something simple that doesn't need batteries and works for random applications (e.g., floor fan in garage, lighting on garage stairs, etc.) I think this works pretty well and have bought about 5 of these now for different applications at mine and my parent's house.

Nice that you can move the motion sensor away from the electric outlet so that you have more flexibility with placement of motion sensor. I use it to turn on a light in the hallway so that I don't bump into things at night. The electric outlet is halfway down the length of the hall and because I can position the sensor so that it catches motion at the door to the bedroom, the light turns on right away so that I don't walk the first several feet of the hallway in the dark.
