the bench is pretty functional for the price. The flip top is a little flimsy, but overall we're satisfied with it.

Comfortable bench but arrived damaged

The bench assembled quick but it was damaged on delivery. The screws that hold the back of the seat on were all stripped out. I ended up flipping the top and rescrewing it back down to fix. It worked but it was annoying. It does have a little weight to it so it doesn't feel like its going to tip over if you lean.

Hinges are big problem

Two others mention the hinges. It's true. The screws are only 3/8 inch long coupled with there is No Way to screw them in again once they fall out. I tried superglue which so far is holding the screws and the hinge and the top together. If it hadn't, I wild have returned it.

Speaking of returning, the metal construction (legs and frame of storage) makes this really heavy to move around. I'm going to have to get felt tips so my tile doesn't scratch.

I bought this piano bench so that I could sit next to my 6.5 and 4.5 during their piano practise and chose this particular bench because it has the flip-top. I am very happy with my purchase. The bench is very sturdy (much better than the one which came with our piano) and I love having the flip top to store their music books (the other doesn't have it). It is nice and heavy and feels very sturdy. Love this purchase and would recommend it to anyone interested in a good, strong piano bench with storage.
