Trappey's is the best of the best for salads, beans, tacos, or any other item you wish to spice up. My dad used it for decades and passed the taste on to me and my family. Highly recommended.

I grew up in the south. the real south. we didn't have any of that red hot sauce (except tabasco). this was the REAL DEAL. anyone who used hot spice in the south back in the day used trappey's. otherwise your just a poseur.

The first "hot sauce" I ever tasted, and it is the best (only IMO) one for black-eyed peas. When the juice is used up, open the cap, mash down the peppers and add your favorite vinegar and let it age a while. It won't be perfect, but it will be good. Then eat those peppers or add to something. Then, reuse the jar!
When possible, I buy these by the case; they are that important to my black-eyed pea-lovin' self. Give it a try if you are scared of "hot" sauces -- this is NOT hot compared to most any other of the millions now on the market, but it adds a WONDERFUL flavor.
