The rocks and minerals are really small. They could be called pebbles other than they are minerals and they have a much harder surface.
Very small samples

The samples in this collection are really too small to see what the mineral or gem is really like. When I show students what Coal is, I bring a chunk the size of a softball and they can touch it and feel the oily surface. The coal in this collection is the size of a pea and just looks like a bit of dirt. Kind of lame.
