Great little potentiometer

Exactly what I needed for building a home-built yeast stir plate with an old computer fan. Didn't realize it comes with two of them, so I'm all set in case the first one gets fried.
If you're building your own stir plate with a computer fan, just be aware that if you don't have an in line voltage control (LM317) then you will have a very small dynamic range for speed control. However once you find the sweet spot you are all set.

Had two of these burn up and stop working on a 12v power source running a computer fan. Maybe I used the wrong thing, however the fan was pulling less than an amp and this should be able to handle that.
