I will never buy another jar of ordinary maraschino cherries again.
Deep dark rich flavor. Tart cherries in a potent syrup. Yum! My only complaint is actually a compliment to the Luxardo company: I wish there was more syrup; the cherries are packed to the brim but I love to add the syrup to ice cream and some cocktails.

We had a manhattan at an upscale hotel and they used these cherries. Now I realize that most quality bars do. They are amazing and a definite improvement to mixed drinks. Not even in the neighborhood of the maraschino cherries you buy in the grocery store.

These cherries changed my whiskey game - specifically rye and bourbon. I bought these to use when making manhattans after trying them at a friends house. Ultimately I prefer to just add a bit of the syrup from the jar (enough to coat a small spoon) to a glass of neat whiskey, and give it a spin. Its the real deal. You might balk at the price, but the syrup lasts a while and to me its worth every penny.
