Strong flavor and aroma. Nice whole large pieces. The price is a steal for what you get. Considering these bad larry's can go for 6$ and up an oz in any grocery store or high end food market. Over all very satisfied. Will shop with again. Super fast shipping too.

First time on-line purchase of dried Porcini mushrooms from Oregon Mushrooms or any mushroom supplier. I knew by the fragrance when I opened the bag, that these were going to be incredible. The pieces are very big, with some absolutely huge. The smallest piece was about 1/2" x 1/2" and virtually no dust. I had previously used dried mushrooms in tiny packages purchased at a grocery store. No stores in my area of So. Calif. carry dried mushrooms any longer. The soup I made was good even with those mushrooms. The next pot of soup with these mushrooms will be over the top. If it turns out differently, I will update my review. I am using the recipe from Joel Palmer House in Dayton, Oregon which is a mushroom specialty restaurant. It's called Joe's Wild Mushroom Soup. Jack Czarnecki is a legendary mushroom hunter and cook and his son, Christopher, now owns and runs the restaurant. The recipe was featured years ago in the Food Section of the Los Angeles Times.

I bought many varieties of porcini over the years. These are the best porcini mushrooms I have ever bought! Large pieces-visually no dust, dirt or sand! Perfect for my homemade porcini mushroom sauce over Angel hair pasta!

Not as flavorful as European porcini, but close enough, and you get a big bag at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend.
