Extremely happy with the quality/toughness of this product
Jake BennettJuly 20, 2018
Purchased as a survival/tactical option. Extremely happy with the quality/toughness of this product. Tip is extremely sharp OTB as well as the edges (rare in spears). The blade itself and tang are STUPID thick, looks like you could use it as a pry bar if needed. Very happy with the purchase. Only downside is i would have liked a bit longer option so as to be able to use it as a walking stick when hiking.

These type of spears are not meant to be thrown, they are meant to be held onto. The shaft seems breakable. But, that is one deadly spear head and I like that it has a guard below the blade to help slow down penetration. The blade cover feels like the spear point could cut right thru it. This is a stabbing tool, plain and simple.
good

I love that it has a sheath and it looks as pictured. I am tall though, so I wish that the staff part was longer.
Its OK

Its got a beefy tip I'll give it that, the shaft is another story. The shaft does not really match the tip as its seems almost gimmicky compared to the tip. The shaft did not come all that straight and has a subtle but annoying curve to it, I have tried to straighten it with no luck so far. I know it is billed as a "Survival Spear" and would come in handy but if the shaft was a tad thicker and a foot longer it would be truly wicked and could be used as a walking stick for someone over 5 feet tall.
which makes it pretty darned sturdy

The head is very thick metal, which makes it pretty darned sturdy, if heavy for a short spear. Would have been better had it come with a longer shaft, it just doesn't have very much reach as is. Don't get me wrong, its clearly designed as a short range weapon, but its basically just a heavy dagger with an extended hilt.

The weight is my biggest problem with it. For a spear as short as it is, it weighs a lot, which makes carrying it for extended periods of time difficult. Combine that with the weight of the head making it unbalanced for gripping lower down the shaft and its versatility is pretty limited.

It looks great, its sturdy, and works great for the purpose it was intended, but a good general purpose weapon to have in an emergency armory it is not.
