I needed a unit that could hold a steady temperature and mix viscous oils. After looking for other solutions on Amazon this was the only one that that I could find that was affordable. Yes it came with a stir bar and a pt1000 tempature sensor probe but it did not come with a stand to use it? For the price I guess you cant really complain but it would make sense to include one..

There was a time while trying to bump up the temperature to fast it jumped dramatically from 30c to 100c. You'll have to be patient with the knobs if you don't want this to happen.

Now I could be wrong here but I don't think this unit spins at its advertised rpms. Going from 500-1000 or even its maximum speed i can't really see a difference. Again I could be wrong here and I am no professional but that is just what I can see.

Overall I have been using this unit for several hours for 3 days and have no major issues with it. If you are not trying to boil water or not looking to mix things at a very high rpm then I would get this unit. It's the best thing I can find for the price without having to tinker with a pid.

Will come back in a few days weeks or months to share how well it lasts under daily use.

It's a lab hot plate. They can take a beating given what they do. But, this one was relegated to light duty. I didn't need gobs of heat, I needed accurately administered heat. This hot plate did that very well it was always accurate. However, we log hours here as part of the records keeping. That $200 hot plate lasted 18:46 hours! That's more than ten bucks an hour, what's worse it quit at a most critical time costing a week's work. I can't tell you how frustrated I am.

This hotplate is not a good choice for vital work.

Would have given it a 5 star but it didn't include the PT1000 Sensor support rod & clamp for use with it. An extra 50 bucks which I think is a little steep. However the review I've see complain about not being able to boil water. I for one am not wanting it to boil water I have a tea pot on my stove for that. It works well holding temperature below 100c on water. I found that it can control the temperature of oils. It does over shoot the set point so adjusting the set point needs to be gradual. You have to be careful on adjusting the set point as it could jump a large amount or just go to lowest setting. I used regular cooking oil and some popcorn oil to test mine and it will take the temperature and hold very well. So It works well as and oil bath as long as you don't take the temperature high enough to burn the oil. Tested the popcorn oil up to 100c had no problem going up to 110c. Since the oil had butter added it actually kind of remove it as a buttery smell thru out the kitchen. So I know it works well with oil. So if you want to boil water it will not get to 100c at all. I could only get it up to 96c, but it will work with oil and hold it within -+1c. Since I'm not making rocket fuel I see no problem with the essential oil so far. 5star on that part so far.

We purchased the unit for the controlled temperature heating and do not need to use the stirring tool. On three different occasion the until wouldn't turn on. This is very frustrating , since we only use the unit 2-3 times a month for about 4 hours. this has happened 3 time and the last unit they are blaming us, stating the unit works fine them, which is not true! We have video and documentation proving the unit is not working
I ended up speaking with the owner Michael and he said we only sell high quality items here, then said this was an economy unit and they could offer me higher end unit that is more reliable ones. ???? we use this 2-3 times a month for about 4 hours at a time.

Stay away from this company, they do not stand behind their product! if you are like us, only using it a few time a month, spend the money in a good reliable until, so that when you need it, it will work

This is my second one bought and both have stopped stirring within 100 hours of use. I use it for vape juice so the speed never gets set above 600 and the temp never gets set above 30 so the product is crud..
