The bit did okay. It did not cut as well as it should have in an aluminum box with a thick wall. Even with a pilot hole it struggled to cut.

Hard to find item in local hardware store and we drilled 4 holes through 1/2" plate with no problem.
7 holes through AL sheet and it's done.

Product arrived quickly and well packaged. However, after 7 holes through 1/2" anodized aluminum it eh bit has already chipped and will not hold center even with a 1/4" pilot hole. I may have gotten a bad bit or something but the "HSS" (High Speed Steel) stamped into it does not hold to the standard of other tools marked likewise.
