This is advertised as a "sitting" bench but if you go to the manufacturer's website it is actually a stepping stool, which makes sense considering the dimensions (14" H)

I was looking for something to fit a pretty small space in our entryway. I was excited to find that this bench was smaller length and width wise than the other benches I had found. I admit I was focused on the length and width measurements and failed to look at the height of this bench. I was surprised to see how short of a bench it was when I received it. It was about as high as my knees. I double checked to make sure I didn't buy something for children, that's how small it is. But no, it's supposed to be for adults. Even if I could get over the height, the quality was poor. It wasn't sturdy at all, very wobbly. Considering the size and quality, this bench is very overpriced. I wanted to like this bench. I need a bench for this space. But I returned this quickly and without hesitation.

I like this bench. It has a good size, and made of good wood. Comes assembled. I use an my hallway. It could take some abuse and very sturdy. I have no doubt that anybody could sit on it ( weight wise).
