Excellent lighters, refillable and no pesky double button!!
PennyOctober 28, 2017
Very good lighters, I really like these for 2 reasons. First, they're refillable and not throwaway one use junk. Second, they don't have that pesky safety button that's impossible to press! Just squeeze the trigger and these beauties light right up. My wife hated the ones that required you to push a button first with your thumb just to have to then squeeze the trigger with your index finger. Not only was it a tough thing to do with small hands but the thumb button is very hard to press for a petite lady. They also have adjustable flame from 1/2" to over 1" length. A great buy!
Being refillable is useless if they snap in half so easily
Amazon CustomerDecember 9, 2015
The first one I opened snapped in half while I was opening it under the red cap between the handle and metal.
The second one I took out of the package had a crack underneath the red cap but didn't totally snap in half. But it ran out after just a few uses.
I had to open the third one on the day of receiving them and it also has a crack under the red cap.
Being refillable is useless if they snap in half so easily...
Good enough quality for it's purpose, and they're refillable.

Though some people complain about the quality and the breakability, I'm really not sure what they're talking about.

I'm sure that these are breakable, but assuming you treat them like a match e.g. put them away neatly in a drawer, don't put them in pockets, take them out, use them, and put them back, then I imagine they'll last a long time. These seem the same quality as any I've ever used, and I've never had one break - just run out of fuel.

I can see why someone wouldn't want to toss them in a drawer or sack full of stuff that gets tossed around or compressed in various directions.

The finger ignition button/lever is pretty tough to move with sore fingers, though it seems that it might be getting easier as I use it. If I had arthritis, I really don't think I'd want to use these.

I filled it with Zippo Butane Fuel. If I don't use it for a while it takes an extra click to start.
Oh, great, another "childproof" device.
Mark StreetmanAugust 22, 2014
Be warned that this is the "adult proof" version where you have to keep pressing on a stiff button on top while igniting the gas with the trigger. May not sound like a big deal, but maintaining strong pressure on those two points is getting harder and harder as I get older.

Alas, it's getting harder and harder to find the proper version that works simply by pulling back on the trigger. There seems to be no correlation between what's advertised and what you get. I've gotten both the good version and the crippled version when reordering from the same vendor.

I don't know what kind of children the makers have, but the only people who are going to have trouble operating these damned things are older adults. As with "childproof" medicine bottles, the only people who can open them without trouble are children.

I would pay double for the grown-up version if I could find them. Anybody who knows where I can find the "non-safety" version, please add a comment on this comment.
Very poor quality
Michael H.July 20, 2014
These pieces of junk didn't work right from day one. Very cheaply made, ill fitting components, and poor flame production. Literally 2 out of 3 broke after 1-2 uses. I would never buy this brand again.
