I've tried less expensive alternatives but they just don't last long. So far it has exceeded my expectations.
Not enough retraction force

The clips are secure and sturdy and the drawstring cord is tightly woven and very durable. However, even a moderate key ring causes the drawstring to start drifting downward. It extends about four inches with only a couple ounces of weight. It retracts from full extension but will not retract all the way. I was expecting a better draw strength since it is a Gear Keeper product.
