Installing this on my Tivo Series 2 was as easy as plugging it into the back, the going through guided setup again. The hardest part was entering the password for my wireless network, as it has about 20 characters! Now I don't have to worry about the phone line not working for some mysterious reason ... Yay!

works great! I can finally cut the phone cord! Now that we all have cell phones, I was keeping a house phone just for my old TiVo Series 2 that has a lifetime subscription. This works great, much faster and more relaible than the dial-up. My phone conversations are no longer interrupted by TiVo dialing in my ear.
Now if I could just get my TiVo to talk to my set top box properly. I can't get the IR emitter blaster working with my new PRISM TV box. Audio and video are fine, but this new service isn't one of the options in setup. It is neither cable, satellite, or antenna. It is DSL with content delivered over the internet (cat5e). The set top box is manufacturer by PACE, which is one of the manufacturers listed for the cable boxes. Tried it, but channel changing doesn't work.

I prefer this adapter for my Tivo Premier as it does not require a separate power source like some earlier models. The speed is fast enough for me to transfer files between Tiros at a reasonable rate. I am glad I no longer have to worry about running an ethernet cable to the Tivo from the router.

I was using a non-TIVO device to attach my TIVO to the internet. (I didn't have time to order the TIVO Network adapter before my system was installed and bought the adapter at a local electronics store.) I had to re-sync it at least once a week. I was checking everyday to find out if the last download had worked. When I got a new modem for my internet, it had 2 WiFi channel and the sync no longer worked. The TIVO Adapter allowed me to choose the WiFi channel and when I go to the network settings, I know how strong the WiFi is. I no longer check to see if the download was successful.
