Perfect water filter for my DIY 'low flow' deNitrate canister filter
Patricia Hamilton Kephart✓ Verified PurchaseNovember 25, 2017
I built a diy cannister filter and needed a low flow filter for anaerobic bacteria .As long as this filter allows just a little oxygen I don't have to worry about it creating any dangerous gases. Its fabulous for what I needed.
Not for PetSafe Drinkwell 360 fountains.

I got this for my PetSafe Drinkwell 360 stanless steal pet fountain. It works like others said it would but the tube that goes onto the fountain is a larger diameter that fits over the barb that sticks out of the pump. It alows water to travel to the top but there is low water pressure. I had to take the top off the fountain just so the cats can get a good drink. I thought of an adpter but then it makes the tube even taller and that won't allow the top to be secure to the bowl. I don't want to butcher my fountain just to see if the pump will do the job. I'll use it for now but I plan on getting a pump from the company instead.

Other than that it's a quiet pump and wxtremly easy to clean.
Doesn't Work

I bought for use in a Drinkwell fountain. It didn't work. It fit, it turned on, but it could only push a small bit of water above the pump (a half inch maybe?). How on Earth would this work for ANY fountain? I returned it.
Nice to find exact replacement for item that worked so well

The one in a decorative fountain finally gave out (possibly due to owner neglect) after years of operation. This is an exact replacement and started the water flowing almost immediately. Now to keep the intake port free of debris.
Perfect replacement for Drinkwell 360 Stainless Fountain!
Eric S. Schultz✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 29, 2017
Others replacements were @ $20-$25 (half the cost of entire fountain). Not only is this a perfect fit, it's clearly pumps more water than original. However the original lasted 5+ years, so we shall see. But for $10, well worth it.

This also came with adapters for different tube sizes, however it was needed for the Drinkwell 360.
