The fan has been working for a few months now with no issues.
Works but too loud
M. Sellers•June 12, 2017
This took care of ventilating the crawlspace through already existing vents, but the loudness is very annoying. The noise is worse outdoors, which is at our wrsp around porch. It is also an annoying high pitch hum indoors. Also it is best to have something hard wired in crawlspace and with an on/off switch. So that is what I will look for. I find none on Amazon.
Can't Beat the Quality!

It works flawlessly. Runs 24/7. Highly recommend it.
Somewhat annoying. I thought would be more quiet

Do not. Use fans to remove stale air from basement. Used in conjunction with fans to bring fresh air into basement as well.
Can hear fans when running especially the fans that bring air into the basement. Eg can hear hum oif fans in living room above basement. Somewhat annoying. I thought would be more quiet.

Inexpensive way to move some air in a crawlspace or basement. Nice mounting plate gives some versatility. Note that this unit has no thermostatic override, or no humidistat...... its either go, or unplug for no go. Can mount on foundation vent to increase ventilation rate, or mount on pier or joist to move air. A little noisy, otherwise would have given 5 stars. Note that this may, or may not, lower your radon levels, but it will move a some air. If using mounted on foundation vent to increase ventilation, remember it will be pulling in cold air in the winter, and pulling in hot humid air in the summer (depending on your geographical location). You may cause a bigger problem than the one you are trying to solve.
