Magnets NOT strong enough! Cable not long enough.
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•January 22, 2018
As other review can attest, these lights do NOT have nearly strong enough magnets in them. They broke loose barely 45 minutes into a multi-day road trip. They were mounted as instructed on a clean metal surface (roof of a Honda Civic as the cord was not long enough to mount them on the trunk lid and still be able to connect the cord to the rear of a U-Haul truck). The first light came loose and scuffed up the side of the car before we could stop and then the lens had completely shattered. Definitely not recommended unless you duct tape them in place!
Does not work with 2017 Ford f150

Does not work with 2017 ford f150. Keeps sensing trailer is connected and then disconnected. Will have warning messages that left and right turn signals are having issues; to please check. Could not get left or right turn signal to work. Only brakes until it sensed trailer disconnected and then no brakes. Would occur while driving and applying the brakes. Product worked on friends truck. Something with the ford f150 and it trying to detect the trailer.
Great solution for salt water boat trailer
JMD✓ Verified Purchase•June 26, 2017
So far this has been a great solution to boat trailer light problems caused by salt water. The one downside is that lights require batteries. But I don't pull my trailer long distances that would require me to go through batteries often. For my purposes it is great. I think if I were hauling a vehicle or a trailer a long distance I would want a set of these with me as a backup so that I could avoid the inconvience of having to stop and fix light issues or getting pulled over and potentially ticketed.
Worked Great. Continously check them on your trip!

I was worried about the magnets holding these on during the trip due to other reviews. We didn't have a problem in 1300 miles of dry driving from Seattle to LA. They stayed on the truck of the Corolla that we towed on a U-Haul tow dolly, with no issues . Routed the wires through the trunk, passenger area, out front door, under windshield wiper and down the front hood. There was only about 3 inches or wire exposed on the trunk, near each light. We did have one light bulb stop working, but we popped open the lens and reseated the bulb and viola!
Great Temp Tow Lights.

These worked fine for me; used them on a 1,000 mile tow. Very convenient wireless operation. You may need to have the lights close to the sender for first use. I found that the right wouldn't work at first, so held the lights within a couple feet of the sender and checked to be sure both worked with all signals/brake. That seemed to do the trick and they have worked flawlessly since.
