Got this for my dad who had a stroke and only has use of his left hand. It works great with plastic bowls and plates, and regular plates and bowls. Doesn't help much with styrofoam containers. Use it and wash it off- couldn't be easier. He has this and a small mirror so he can see when he needs to wipe his mouth (can't feel the right side of his face) and he uses them at every meal. Might also work for kids just learning to use silverware.

Okay, this is NOT an exciting product to use, but it is an EXCELLENT product that does what it's supposed to do. I bought this pad to hold my manual coffee grinders steady on my counter and it does an amazing job at that - what more do you want out of a non-slip pad.
