Several observations:

In spite of reviews saying that it was hard to put together and that the instructions were unclear, I ofund them easy to follow and had it assembled in less than two hours.

It is quite attractive and quite comfortable. A little difficult to convert to bed by oneself, but I figure that when I am converting it to be a bed there will be someone (a guest) to help me. Very comfortable for me to sit in.

Seems very solid. I think I will get years of service out of this futon frame.

Well built and easy to assemble. Comfortable to sit on as a couch and to sleep on as a bed with the Serta mattress we bought with it. Would have been 5 stars but one of the internal threaded fasteners for a bracket was missing on a back leg. I had to run to the local hardware to find something to replace it. Otherwise, it is a very nice piece.

Nicely made. It is not spring assisted and it is large (queen) so it takes two people to operate unless you remove the mattress first.

This is a nice, sturdy, and attractive futon frame, and looks very nice in my new house. There was a small chip in one of the frame components, but it is the back and doesn't really show, so we decided not to make an issue of it. The only negative I have about this item is that the frame came in a great many pieces and took a lot of bolting together. The instructions were mostly clear, but at one point my son, who was assembling it for me, realized that he had apparently put two support struts in backward according to the diagram. He had to unbolt several pieces in order to take them out and reverse them, which added 1/2 hour to the assembly time, and then when it was all finished, it appears that the original orientation was actually correct. We decided not to undo everything, as he had spent 3 hours on it at that point, and it seems to work okay as is. But it appears the manufacturer could pre-assemble the back and seat decks as they did the arms, which would make assembly much easier for the customer and probably add very little to the cost, as it could probably be done mostly by machine.

I'm waiting for a mattress right now so I can use it. Putting it together would be helpful with a more detailed instruction manual. I figured it out but would of been easier with a little more detailed instruction manual.
