This skirt if fantastic! I didn't have a problem with the shorts riding up, as some others have noted. I thought I'd give it a try, and return it if I had a problem. So glad I did: I wear it around town and hiking - very versatile, and I feel comfortable wearing it where maybe I wouldn't if I were in shorts.

It was very expensive and I think it's just ok. It rides up when sitting and is super thick material which can be good or bad depending on needs. I just didn't like how it rode up so I wouldn't buy again but I do wear it.
