Works great and easy (altho time consuming) to install as DIY
car guy•June 6, 2017
I had garage door carriers raised to the ceiling and this was the only option for a lift motor as there is no room for a traditional lift above the garage door. Works great and easy (altho time consuming) to install as DIY.

I love the compact nature of this opener and the fact that it mounts easily to the side of the door rather than overhead. It's an easy install for anybody that knows the business end of an allen wrench and how to use a drill.
That being said there is one glaring problem for me. The rolling code technology implemented in this opener is incompatible with most openers integrated into cars manufactured before 2013. If you have an older car with an integrated opener such as Homelink, you will either have to use the clicker that comes with this opener, or buy a (horribly reviewed) repeater.

Best garage door ever!
tacman007•March 22, 2017
Best garage door opener ever! so quiet you never hear it, super easy to install, can open it with your cell phone from anywhere, lighted motion detector, dead bolt security is great, battery backup for power outages,,,,,,simply amazing! Wasn't sure about it being a little more expensive til I installed it, seriously took less than a hour, so easy to install. And this thing works seamlessly!
the online prices are so much better than those in-stores (southern Ohio)
Channing Kordik•March 18, 2017
This was key to fixing our garage situation. The door would not open all the way back. Also, the online prices are so much better than those in-stores (southern Ohio). It lifts slow, but super quietly. Easy to install and hook up to the remotes and wifi. Love.
If I can put this thing up, anyone can.
Matt Dietzel•February 1, 2017
I have zero handy man skills and I was able to put this opener up and wire it in a two afternoons. The opener is quick enough and is extremely quiet. I was dreading installing and configuring the sensors at the base of the garage door but Liftmaster made them so that they install easily and line up fast. No drama install from someone who had no idea what they were doing, thanks entirely to the step by step instructions included.
This opener is great for anyone who does not have room for a full drive system.
