I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. He is over the moon with how well this works. He just went bass fishing and used it to filet the fish he caught. He kept holding the filets up to show me how beautifully the knife performed.

This is my second American Angler knife. We do A LOT of fishing and clean many fish. While kind of pricey, this is a very durable, long lasting knife.
Seemed to be something wrong with the blades.

The blades were a different story, after struggling through the first 6 crappies I decided to try a set of blades from a older/ different brand knife.
They fit perfectly and the knife worked GREAT!
Hoping to contact the company for a blade replacement so I may see if this unit can fillet the thousands of fish my old units have done in the last 25
years.

I bought this knife in August. I fish manly for catfish. I had a Rapala for 2-1/2 years. And probably cleaned 1400 fish with it before the trigger started messing up. Figured I better get a new one before it left me high and dry. I thought I would try a American angler. I have probably cleaned about 200 fish so far. It works as expected. Sometimes the motor get a little hot but has not given me any trouble yet. I think it does run a bit slower than a Rapala but not enough to make a difference. I can't say anything bad about Rapala. So far I really like the American Angler
