Speakers are good but the speaker cord is a bit short and not much room to prep/connect to wiring. I recommend adding another inch of so of cord to make it easier to wire/connect.

Ok, so I'm an audiophile and as matter of fact I design and develop speakers. These speakers don't have a great sound. Anyone who knows audio immediately hear them and aren't impressed. That being said for the price and use case - outside backyard speakers you really can't go wrong with these.

So don't set your expectations high for audio quality and you will be very pleased. These are just inexpensive China designed products. If they just spent $3-$4 more on speakers drivers they could have made great speakers ... A tad of a bummer.

My speakers are about 50' apart with the sitting area in the center. There is more than enough db level to upset your neighbors but not enough for the police to come :-). The bass is pretty good, midrange a tad lacking and treble too harsh but again these aren't for a home high fi system.

I think they would actually sound worse in a smaller more intimate setting because then you would hear more detail of the music. With them as far apart as I have them the detail / quality is not as important.

Anyway, get them if you don't want to spend too much money. If you want a much better sound you need to spend at least 2-4 times the money. I may do that when these crap out which I am guessing is 2-3 seasons at most as at this cost I highly doubt the speaker cones are really marine grade...

Well made waterproof speakers with good acoustics. Open wire connection is a litte bit cheap, no binding posts.

We got these speakers to augment some others we had attached above the pool area and facing it from one side. Those pair of speakers were good but didn't fill the pool area completely. They are about 8 ft above the pool surface so we lose some quality and loudness when in the pool. In come these speakers. The speakers are placed in the garden around the pool and bring the sound stage to right above the water. This makes them sound loud and powerful when in the pool. They are punchy, but do lose some clarity in the mid and high end. But for outdoor speakers and my use they are great. Kids and laughing and carrying on and loving the tunes they can hear over all of that fun. If doing a full outdoor experience, just pair these with some good woofer/tweeter combo speakers to get a complete package.

Speakers function as specified. These are not your concert speakers, but perform well enough to transmit my audio music throughout my backyard. The outdoor weatherproof speakers allowed me to change my outdoor 2 speaker configuration to 4...giving me a nice surround sound environment. If you want a concert speaker, this is not the speaker for you.
