Good Jack had a small easy to fix issue
Freddie L Clark Jr✓ Verified Purchase•July 31, 2023
Not sure if it happened in shipping, production or if the product was used but the narrow post end that the jack screw sets on was bent and it would not let the screw set in it properly. Had to used a set of plyers to reshape it properly.
Good product, fair priced

I use these to support two additional beams I installed perpendicular to my floor joist in my crawl space. They are not holding up the weight of the house as if they were on a main beam, the 4x6 poplar wood beams that I installed are mainly to stop some deflection in my floor. For that these supports are working fantastic! I especially liked the sturdy construction of them and the quality of construction.
That said I highly recommend this product.

Good DIY alternative for floor joist support
Carl Burkhardt✓ Verified Purchase•July 8, 2023
I bought these to lift up a sagging area of my bedroom floor. There had been water damage previously, and after sistering new joists on, these jacks were able to level out the floor. I simply put one or two solid, concrete blocks under each to get the height I needed.
They are not that hard to line up, and get started. Once secured I was able to turn a large, adjustable wrench on them without any trouble to extend them as needed.
I used four of them in about six foot by six foot spacing. In many cases, one or two would likely be enough to lift up a small sagging area, such as under a refrigerator.

Worked perfect in adding stability to deck section
sacto customer✓ Verified Purchase•June 21, 2023
We removed the old hot tub from our deck and covered the opening with 4x4 beams and 2x8 boards. We used the jacks to give firmness and take most of the load. If the deck gets wobbly in the future, easy to re-adjust. (Even posts in cement might settle.)
Note these do not provide any lateral stability. Suggest the jacks be used, as in our case, where if they fail, no structure is at risk of collapse. (Even if jacked entirely in the air, 2x4 inside each corner prevent it from sliding.)

A reasonably good pole
Peter M.✓ Verified Purchase•June 21, 2023
This pole is very sturdy, but the first package a plate had slipped through a hole in the box, so I had to get a replacement.
The fact that the end caps don't attach in any way is very annoying, as they repeatedly fall off while you try to set it up.
