This pole is very sturdy, but the first package a plate had slipped through a hole in the box, so I had to get a replacement.
The fact that the end caps don't attach in any way is very annoying, as they repeatedly fall off while you try to set it up.

I bought three of the 2-pack smallest size to add supports under my wood deck. Other than crawling around under the deck in the dirt, they were easy to assemble, which I did by myself. Given they're steel and how they're designed, my deck really feels more secure now to support a pergola and roof.
One pack had a piece that was stuck (not even WD-40 loosened it) and had to be returned. I received the replacement pair two days later, even though I hadn't yet returned the defective one which I since did.
Good product and well worth the peace of mind for a stronger and longer-lasting deck.

It did the job as a temporary support but difficult to get set at times. There are four pieces (top plate, screw, metal tube, and bottom plate) that are not attached and are held together by weight/pressure of load. Plates are thin gauge metal. Must be straight up and down. I used a solid cinder block underneath bottom plate and a 2x4 over top plate. Directions are not very good but you can figure it out.
Good but needs more welding.

Tube looks strong but not 18K lbs strong at the base. The base plate is thin and the welds to the tube need improving but it will be sitting on a 2"x12" so it's ok.
