My 1st Vietnamese cinnamon and my favorite

I bought this on sale before Covid-19. Was my first vietnamese cinnamon. Ive tried Kirklands & Olde Thompson brand Saigon Cinnamon and both were weak in scent and flavor despite being new and a year before exp date. This brand has a strong scent and fresh flavor which I thought was only OK at first until I realized most brands like Badia and McCormick are weak by comparison!
NOT SAIGON CINNAMON!!!

I went with a reviewer comment that this a new name for Saigon cinnamon. I have great doubts of that, based on what I received. True Saigon cinnamon has a kick of spicy heat (think hot peppers). This product does not bring the heat of true Saigon cinnamon. It is also not fragrant, like most cinnamon varieties, and especially not like the Saigon variety. It is kind of dusty and flat in that respect. It has a mellow, sweet, good, and clean flavor profile, but is too highly priced for a rather basic cinnamon, although that may be weighted by the organic status. Wish I had stuck to my instincts. Well, off to shop Saigon again!
Better than old cinnamon

Comparing it to my old grocery store brand was a wash. It was however noticeably better used in food
Great product.

I think most people think cinnamon is cinnamon. Not true. I think Vietnamese cinnamon has the best taste. When you spend a little more on a more tasteful product you don't need to use as much. Same with vanilla.
Clear trip of the mind

This is a true winner when you talk cinnamon flavor. Saigon can't touch this. Once you try this you won't want anything else. I only wish they offered it in a larger size. I've asked my son to find this on one of his trips to Vietnam, close but no winner. I hope that on one of his trips, he actually looks for it.
