An overwhelming number of pros and two cons
Ray•December 24, 2017
I have no idea how I went so many years without these! With no real posterior to speak of, I've always struggled to keep my pants around my waste. No amount of belt-tightening has helped, so I'd accepted a life of pulling up my pants every few minutes and pulling my shirt down when I sat with my back exposed.
However, these suspenders have genuinely improved my life. There are so many pros to these, but here are the ones that stand out:
-the velcro makes them easy to adjust
-the soft cloth makes me forget I'm even wearing them
-they're thin enough that they don't show through most shirts
-the plastic clips stop them from damaging my pants
There are some cons, as well. I'd like to say they're minimal, but they will affect your purchase decision:
-If you move wrong, the velcro can stab you. The end of the velcro strap will rest somewhere near the nipple, which means that there's a very good chance that bending or twisting will have you wincing in pain. The manufacturer could easily fix this with some kind of cover, or you can simply avoid it with a light tanktop beneath the straps.
-Sitting down to use the restroom is a chore. The clips aren't easy to pop on and off while wearing the suspenders, so your only option is to pull your arms out of your shirt and drop the straps from your shoulders. I've grown accustomed to the process, but it does seem like a hassle.
Overall, there are so many benefits to this that the cons are easy for me to ignore. This product isn't perfect, but it's still the perfect solution for people who need something more than a belt.

Best solution for casual, concealed suspenders - but not very durable
Matoskan•August 18, 2017
I liked these so much that I wore them out and am buying another set. The wearing out part is part of the reason I am not giving 5 stars. These are not particularly durable. Mine lasted about two years with fairly regular use until the stitching on at the cross in the back began to become undone. But for $20, I'm not complaining. They keep my pants up, will not be noticed even if you are only wearing a t-shirt over them, and the grips *never* failed me. I wear these mostly with jeans but have also used with docker-style pants. These a great for casual wear when you don't have to tuck in your shirt.
My only complaint is that my shoulders get sore easier with these than with my formal button suspenders that I wear with my suits. I think it is the elastic, but probably also because jeans are heavier than dress pants. Any suspender can cause sore shoulders, but I seem to only notice it with elastic suspenders. But you wouldn't be able to have the same under-garment comfort if you used clips to adjust. The velcro adjustment and elastic is what makes these so comfortable under the shirt.

Best kept hidden, great to avoid a belt!

So comfortable, subtle and dependable.
I have the no-slip metal gripper clips on my other Hold-Ups, but wanted to try the airport-friendly versions so I got these. So far, I find them very comfortable and have not had them let go of my jeans. I only wear these under loose-fitting untucked shirts, and find them comfortable for that purpose. They do not bind or pinch.
I do find they are a bit irritating in their normal position over the nipples, so I actually cross each side over my head so they X on the front as well, avoiding the more sensitive spots. YMMV. If you wore them over a t-shirt, you wouldn't have this issue.
I love not hitching my jeans up any more, which was my fate with a belt lately unless I made it excruciatingly tight.

Keeps my pants up.

I almost exclusively wear tactical BDU type pants that are ladened down with a heavy wallet chain, knife, wallet, badge case and pretty much just loads of crap. I ride a Harley and am constantly having to hike up my pants every time I get on it. I'm 5'8" and 220 (I was 265 4 mos ago). So needless to say my pants are tough to keep up.
These things are great and solve the problem completely. Two problems, though. First, I have to run the Velcro strap up so high to tighten these that I have to stick it on the back. Don't know if the make a shorter version but that's my size I guess. Second, it's hard not to have some of the strap creep up my shoulder where is shows by my neck when I'm wearing a t-shirt (which is always unless I'm in court or at a business meeting. But all in all, these have solved a very annoying problem. Nuff said.

Work well BUT, breakdown in construction.
Richard•July 8, 2016
These suspenders work really well and do not show through a summer t-shirt. Mine has a construction problem. Where the straps cross in the back they used single stitching with no back stitch so after only a week the thread is pulling out and is now half gone. We will repair this with hand stitching since we do not own a sewing machine ( my wife had sewing and ironing dumped on her so bad as a child that she now does neither, we use the cleaners for both, but I digress ). Anyway, the product works very well at holding up my trousers and are relatively comfortable and the clips are the best I have ever used..
